I just got my new BMW 5series and paired my treo 650 with the bluetooth of the BMW;they detected each other and I proceeded to configure them; but never was able to make a single phone call, because when I enter the car and the BMW detecs my phone, my phone resets immediately again and again and again; BMW feels there is nothing wrong with the 12 hours old car,so I called Palm support and they said that BMW and Palm's bluetooh are non compatible!!!!!?????.

    Please provide some guidance

    thanks

Did a search on "BMW", got several pages, these were the first 4 I saw, there may be more. . . .

    Cheers, Perry.

Don't waste your time. I have sufferred with this since I got my Unbranded GSM Treo 650. There is nothing to be done. Which Treo do you have? The only one I know for a fact that works with BMW is the Sprint version with the latest patches applied to the phone. I have heard that the new Palm software for the unlocked, unbranded Treo might fix this if they EVER release it...maybe one of the folks running the custom Chineese based ROMS can confirm this? Short of an update from Palm you are screwed - just like the rest of us that have this combination...of phone and car kit...

I have a 2006 M5 and a Cingular Treo v1.17.CNG. The phone and car are working well together with the car downlaoding my favorite contacts from the Treo. The sound quality is great- much better than other bluetooth solutions I have used. The only glitch I have is I can not dial out from the car's address book. Caller ID works great even displaying the name of the caller if they are in the addressbook. IF I had to give it a grade I would say A-.

Okay. One more time. There are many threads about this. The constant resetting is
due to the presence of Extra Digits in one of your Favorites entries. Make sure you remove all Extra Digits from your Favorites and it will work like a champ.

    I have a MY2005 525i and a GSM unbranded T650 and it's worked great for 7 months.
