    Is there an application out there that allows me to access movie listings and showtimes of selected local theaters? I have a Treo 650.

    Handmark Express does this, among many other things.

    MovieFone Free

    I am sure there are others out there.
    Me = Nokia 5170/Palm III > Kyocera 6035 > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 755p > Treo Pro > Palm Pre

    Wife = Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 755p > Palm Centro > Palm Pixi

    The free version of Vindigo (aka Vindigo Lite) does movie listings but not food, bars, other like the subscription version.

    Avantgo. Set up Hollywood.com as one of your channels and you can select show times for download by zip code.

    Ironically, the name of your post is the answer to your question. Showtimes is a great FREE movie time applicaiton. It takes a little bit to get set up, but it's great when you do.

    Download the App here:
    http://www.blackgate.net/downloads/

    And the updated parse script here:
    http://www.zorvek.com/showtimes/

    The sourceforge project has some good information in the bugs/support requests/patches sections, but the files are out of date.

    I had some trouble getting the conduit working properly, so I just schedule it to run nightly and install the output databases. If you have any trouble getting it set up, let me know and I can try to help.

    I tried to set this up last night, and after 2 hours I gave up. Nowhere does anyone provide simple, step by step instructions without getting lost in the whole perl no perl thing. I'd love to be able to have some help with it.

    A new app by Hobbyist Software called Genius can do this plus a bunch more. It's available at Palmgear for $10.

    I use MovieFone. After I selected my favorite local theater and retrieved showtimes for all shows from that theater, I saved the link as a bookmark so I don't have to go through the prompts the next time I use it.

    Thanks for all the posts. I really was looking for a easy and free application. So far I concluded that moviefone to be the easiest since I do have a data plan. Thanks for all your help. Maybe someone can create a simple application and be willing to offer it for free.

    Handmark Express is (by far) the most expensive, and by far the best for movies.

    And does by far more than any of these other solutions as well.

    Never mind- I just figured it out and got it working! I had to cut and paste the updated files from your previous link to get a valid output. This is great!

    Go to menu, then options, and select get Plug-ins. I'm not sure which plug in it is but I downloaded all of them. They are very small and don't take up much room. Under the information button I have three movie search items: Yahoo Movies, IMBD, and Hollywood.com Showtimes

    Thanks -- yeah, works pretty well. Is there a way to expand to more than 5 mile radius?

    I think that must be the default for Hollywood.com. The developer does allow you to make your own plug ins if you find a site that does search beyond 5 miles.
