Have you run it by PalmInternals, yet? I've always loved McPhling (used it on the m505, m515, T/T, TC and T3), but replaced it with Hi-Launcher after PalmInternals pointed out its Hede notifications and resultant drag on the T650.

I don't bother about Hede etc unless I notice any obvious slowdowns. It's not like I am doing any CPU intensive activities in the background .. If the UI is snappy enough, I don't care about benchmarks.

Having said that, I had uninstalled McPhling many monts ago. I have been on a crusade for the most streamlined Treo 650. The stock launcher (with all categories deleted, so that the single press of the Home button toggles between all application in RAM and all applications on Card) was all that I was using. So I decided that I didn'r need McPhling. It was about the same time that I removed Butler and VoiceDial.

Am I missing something? I'm running hi-launcher mapped from my side button and palminternals shows it also listed under hede.

Doh! My bad. Of course Hi-Launcher uses Hede notification. I ditched McPhling because the result of the PI speed test was so much better when I substitued Hi-Launcher for it.
