okay, i have tested and all looks good. i have a couple of great beta testers using v2 right now, but i need about 3 more. if you have a verizon phone or a GSM phone please send me an email. i don't really need a sprint tester but i would take one if you really want to have a look at the new beta.

Why don't you need Sprint testers? Already have enough?

this is coming week. i've announced the update here: http://www.ludustech.com/ludusw/

it's a whole new project, but it's all built off of SharkMsg. plenty of new features, and in case you're wondering, ALL THE SHARKMSG FEATURES WILL REMAIN FREE in LudusW and all bug fixes and basic feature additions will continue to be free . However, if you want to use the advanced features like exceptions, wildcards, or VMP, i request that you buy LudusW for $10.

    regards, tyler

Tyler, you are amazing! With VMP, if you have multiple voice-mail accounts will you be to have more than one setup in SharkMsg 2.0?

    I am ready to buy!

Yeah. about that... would you mind posting a few samples of the formats you have numbers stored in. i have to deal with parentheses, spaces, dashes, and +s so far.

    cheers, tyler
Hi Tyler, I am noticing that incoming mobile calls do NOT trigger LudusW when I have the mobile # stored in my contacts with *82 in front of it, as in *82-585-555-5555. ( I do this to remove privacy when I place calls to them, so they can see it is me calling.) This is when I have selected "Manual: Mobile." Can this format be added?

    Hi all,

Continuing my postings on ludustech forums on SharkMsg, here are
some observations on this functioning of SharkMsg. My phone is:
    Treo 650, Cingular, Unlocked, 01.51, Treo650-1.17-CNG

    1) If you have a phone/ mobile number configured in "Favourites" then
SharkMsg/ LudusW will be unable to decide if the number is a Mobile#,
ie. the SMS will not be sent out if it is configured to Auto: Mobile.

    2) In SharkMsg, if the incoming call is terminated by the other person,
then the SharkMsg window pops-up, but the phone keeps ringing. Maybe
it is meant to work that way, but it is irritating as there is no way to
quickly shut down the ringing till the SMS is sent out, or at least the
    Window is dismissed.

    3) It appears that LudusW does not work (window does not pop-up) if
the call is terminated by the caller at the other end.

[This is reposted here from ludustech.com forums]

Just wanted to point out some problems that hamper LudusW functioning.

    Scenario 1:

As reported by another user in these forums, if the number is not
EXACTLY as reported by the caller ID, then nothing will happen.

Example, if I have a number stored along with international code
"+91 98765 43210" and the Caller ID reports "09876543210" then
the window will not pop up. Have no clue how Palm (and other cell
phones too) do the match as they work reliably.

    Scenario 2:

    1) I get a call and accept it, talk and end the call properly.
    2) The LudusW window DOES NOT popup for the NEXT IGNORED call.
    3) LudusW functions properly for subsequent calls.

I'll add that the above behaviour is REPEATABLE; happens every time.

My suspicion is that the combination of the above two bugs (AND may
be a couple more) is resulting in users inferring that the behaviour is
    erratic.

    Request for enhancements:

    1) Wildcards for telephone numbers in Exceptions and Default action(s)
    2) SMS even for missed calls.

    Regards,

    Vinodh Kumar M.
