Oh Noes! What will palm do.

As I stated in my BBB Letter them working on other products right now is a direct slap in the face to us 700P users. I guess this 'open omission' seals the deal. I wasn't going to hold my breath too much on this. But NOW I'm really going to ramp up the conversion process for my cell phone. Adios touch screen.

I hear circus music and have visions of circus clowns...

Why is this in the 700P forum?

I think releasing it now with major bugs would do a lot more harm to their image than delaying a month or two and getting it right.

I didn't know that it was slated for release today.....

It was originally rumored to be released yesterday, IIRC. *technically* we have another month of summer, but still.

I'm waiting to hear a confirm, deny, or no comment from Palm.

Isn't this the device they were planning for about 5 years, so it was said? They should have had it all together by now if so.

Trying to get it to sync with the 680? The 680 is the "Lowrider" talked about from nearly 2 years ago, I think. They really should have had that fixed by now. again.

Of course with them waiting 5 years, maybe some new problems DID pop up due to them updating things for current usage. But they will need to get it out in a timely manner before they're too little, too late again. Other sub-laptops are coming out too.

HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!
