After spending a couple hours with my son's iPad2, I see why people love them. It's just way more responsive and the touch sensitivity is way better than my Touchpad. However, for $99 the Touchpad is just fine. I would never pay $500 for a tablet.

With the sensitivity patch, the TouchPad runs as fast as the iPad2. No difference with my tests.
edit - well, actually, a difference of $500

This is about how I feel about the Ipad too (Word play!) - For the price I payed, my Touchpad is excellent. More than excellent.

But if I had a choice between both of them at the same price, I would probably go with the Ipad, if only for the metal body.

However, if the Touchpad can run Windows 8, it would be a tough call, but I'd go with the Touchpad.
