    In addition to the Galaxy Tab 10.1, apple has additional complaints against Motorola over the Xoom. If they obtain an injuction against the Xoom, you have to wonder whether HP will take advantage of this and ramp up their Touchpad efforts in Europe.

    im sure hp is next, to be honest
    @agentmock

    Audiovox SMT5600 (WM) --> Cingular 8125 (WM) --> Sprint Mogul 8525 (WM) --> Palm Pre (webOS)- --> Sprint Franken Pre2 (webOS) + 32gb Touchpad (webOS)

    Ok this is crazy. How different can the design be anyway? Most pursues look alike.

    Well, if apple feels the threat, it will do it, before that, its likely safe. Hp did buy a house full of palm patents too.

    But then, apple is suing worst selling android tablet, lol, who knows.

    Apple only sues products that present a serious threat. HTC handsets, Samsung handsets and tabs. HP and Moto, not so much.

    since HP bought palm, they own a ridiculous amount of patents and im sure Apple is infringing on quite a few of those. bottom line, they don't want to dance with the smartphone patent kings.

    It seems unlikely at this point, though HP did do a pretty blatant ripoff job with the Touchpad. I love mine, but people still confuse it for a 1st gen ipad. The identical button placement and screen size don't help.

    The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the fastest selling tablets in Europe right now...but what doesnt make sense to me is that the Galaxy 10.1 does NOT look to me like an iPad. Screen dimensions are different and Honeycomb looks a lot different from iOS...but Samsung had to go and push out their TouchWiz update.
    Treo 300->Treo 600->Treo 650->Treo 700p-> Palm Pre-> Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (32GB Launch-day Touchpad sustains my webOS need for now)

    Stupid. Though I wonder what the suit is for exactly, usually it's a specific aspect of the hardware....

    It doesn't really matter for HP. Apple trying to sue HP would just open up a whole can of worms for HP to retaliate on and I doubt Apple wants to deal with that.

    Nike owns Converse. This would be like Compaq suing HP.

    In any case, HP has a deeper patent portfolio than even Apple does. HP's lab was so large it was spun-off in 1999(Agilent).

    The sad thing is that this just shows fear from apple and that the touchpad may be first. There's not much one can do with a tablet but make it square and thin. I'm looking for a tablet and apple is just making me less and less want an ipad.

    These look nothing alike

    I don't get it. The ipad wasn't the first tablet.

    Agilent must've done something wrong. I barely know anyone using Agilent VEE. I actually used it for the very first time a couple of weeks back and found it lacking in some areas.
