I wonder how many Touchpads HP has sold compared to the HP Slate.

More Windows tablets sold than PlayBooks in Q2 2011 | Ubergizmo

well hell if bestbuy could start a contract correctly, i would have 4 veers, rather than being back on sprint and ****ed off about the deafening silence of webos
    Palm prē-ist.

Touchpad was released just at the beginning of next quarter, we will know in two months.

TP seems to be doing ok. Its still climbing on the amazon and BB charts. If HP engineering team knocks out many of the bugs with 3.0.2 I think webos has a legit chance of Being #2 table by year end.

I asked a fs employee (trained on webOS he told me), how were sales going...? He said not as good as ipad but better than all the other tablets, proceeded to say they sold out on the opening day and going steady ever since.

    Good news I think.

well the earnings call is August 18th so i think it will be next month.

i think HP's third quarter runs May 1 - Jul 31. With an earnings call a few weeks later on the 18th. But that would put the touchpad squarely in this quarter so i think we can anticipate them definitely getting asked about hard numbers. If they decide not to tell them it will be a bad sign. Also if they decided to play with them like not giving actual sales but like how many they sold to best buy. I hate that. But will be interesting.

Prediction: The HP earnings call will say they are please with the sales numbers and sales are what they expected. The will give the number of units shipped. Then they will mention it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. They won't spend to much time on webos as this is not their only LOB.

They presentation is for shareholders and the market, not webos fans.
