So yeah this Monday past, I ordered me an i-Mate K-Jam. I have always wanted a PPC, and now that there is one with EDGE, I am so happy

Here is what it looks like:

Agreed, I shall stay put, this not an invitation for PalmSource to rest. I am looking for muti-tasking.

Looks awesome and great specs, for a user like me anyway.

Forgive my ignorance, so do you buy a sim from like t-mobile to use that in the states?

I have mine on order as well. I should get it by the end of next week!

Yes. You can put any GSM sim into this phone.

I'm still trying to make up my mind about switching to the Sprint PPC6700 instead of the K-JAM because of EVDO. How much faster is EVDO compared to EDGE?

Now this is something I'd probably switch to. I'm gonna miss callfilter and profiles though, but my ailing t600 is near death... I'll wait and see

Yay people dont hate me... it would be nice to not have an antenna dig me in my pocket.. (not that it did)

however I am going to miss the following:
the ringer switch...oh how i love you so
chatteremail...although Marc said he will probably work on a Windows version due to the existance of the Treo 700w

I am looking at the Wizard manual...

On page 11 of the manual, button 15 (Comm Manager) lets you do the same it seems.

"Press to start comm manager, press and hold to switch to vibration mode."

Looks like you won't be missing it as much as you thought!
