Did anyone else see this. Can you tell what kind of phone he's using. If I didn't know better I'd swear it was a treo without the antennae. Maybe a celebrity tester?

Jon- Is that a working model or is that a...

    Andre- No..well yeah it works.

It's not a phone I recognize with qwerty.

I'm compressing video to put up shortly

Looked like a blackberry to me. You can sort of see the "molding" around the frame in one shot.

Just watched the video. Interesting. Think Palm would release it in this manner? Would be similar to what they did with the 600. If you remember, they included it in the official PalmOne/Handspring photo.

    I think it's the Blackberry 7100...
silver, jog dial on the right, phone jack on the left near the top

Jog dial guys , it's not a Treo.

Not sure if you guys saw him today. They talked about his treo for a solid 5 minutes.

The upcoming HP Messenger does not have an external antenna.
I find that believing the universe spontaneously generated, developed self-governing laws, and produced intelligent life all by random, purposeless, material events requires greater faith than I am able to muster.

it looked like a Treo to me ------ color wise, especially, as most Blackberrys are one solid color, all over
    BLUETOOTH!!!!

I have no idea how you guys could see such detail in this thing. But I will say this, the back reminds me of a Treo, and the width/height/thickness ratio looked Treo-ish to me.

Looks like a Treo to me. The roundness of the lower end is very unique characteristic of the Treo.

Maybe they gave him a dummy prop which was moderfied from a Treo dummy.

Or he "blinged out" the antenna.

What the heck makes you guys think it's a Treo?!??!?

You could only see the back/sides and it was nothing like the Treo's!!

The Treo also doesn't have a jog dial!!

That had to be an HP (do HPs have jogdials??) or a Blackberry!

    Gents,

I am confident that he was holding a Blackberry 7290 (tmo version), it is in that silverish/gunmetal-bluish color format. Having seen this exact version around the office, I am pretty sure it was the tmo version.

I don't think at all that that was a Treo. The second I saw him using a the jog dial on the right side, I knew it wasn't. My best guess is a Blackberry, because of the jog on the right and the coloring on the top of the unit. But it could also possibly be one of the new HP's. But it definately isn't a Treo from what I can see.
