Well, i haven't been around here lately, but it's been business related...and while I was away, I won a Palm VIIx! I should have it by the end of this week. Is there anybody else out there with one and using the Palm.net service? I've looked on Palmgear and downloaded a bunch of PQA apps i can't wait to try, but i have some other questions. Any good Palm VII(x) websites out there?

    Thanks.

(P.S. I'll still be using my Visor for 'productivity' considering i have the stowaway keyboard for it, but i can see myself carrying the 7x around when hanging out with friends!)
wow, it's been awhile.....things have REALLY changed...why is my Visor Edge still in my hand? Will a Treo fit better?

gee thanks for the kind remarks!

I won't be deserting the visor, don't worry. I still love my visor and as i said, i've got the stowaway and modem for it which will come in handy more often then the wireless web (i think?). A little ironic though, i'll be carrying the 7x when i want to 'travel light' and the visor/stowaway/modem when i'm planning on some serious note taking and emailing.

i won it at a conference i was attending. usually (for the past zillion years) the prize was a set of golf clubs. and every year i donated some money and bought a few tickets and never won the clubs (i'm NOT a golf player...once or twice a year, tops) and this year they switched the prize to a 7x with a leather carrying case and a pack of Writerights. so again i donated some money and bought a few tickets .... AND I WON!! great timing eh?

I've found some REALLY interesting PQA's today. I'm still searching for a possible 7x devoted website for more info, though. anybody know of any?

Darn, I never get that lucky... ...

But then again a PalmVII(x) is of no use here since the is no network for it anyway

Congrats Hoser.... If you don't like your 7x you can sell it and buy a prism !

Any other Golf players out here? I just started a couple of months ago... I is terribly expensive in the Netherlands, but it is OK (very cheap if you compare it with back home) over here in Sydney...
Too bad I used to play fieldhockey, that kinda ruins my swing....[/off subject]

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

    Congrats Hoser.

Did it also include the service plan

After you have test drove some of those PQA's, please post some of your impressions here. I am thinking about the Minstrel S.

i wish it included the service plan!

I think i'll just sign up for the $9.99 plan, i can see myself using it over the limit for the first month (the whole 'new toy syndrome' but after that i don't think i'll be accessing the wireless net too often...i think) I'll post some comments on some of the pqa's as i try them out...now that the minstral is available for the visor i guess talking about pqa apps isn't exactly 'off topic' eh?

Hi, ToolkiT. You hit on a subject thatís as close to home as a Visor. Maybe closer! I just picked up golf this summer myself, and I'm hooked! I figure that it's a cheaper mid-life than a Corvette. I've been reading golf books, listening to golf CDís in the car, subscribed to Golf Digest, and picked up a book covering all the courses in my city. I've even done the unspeakable...watched the Golf Channel at midnight! (insert prayer for me here)

I just finished reading M. Scott Peck's "Golf and the Spirit", and am working on Bob Cullen's "Why golf?". Both are very good books that explain how golf gets into your bones.

That Intelligolf module looks very good to me. But then again, maybe a combo of the Intelligolf software combined with a GPS module to track my yardage on each shot. Now we're talkin'! Of course, I'll have to get the Tiger Woods module for those "office tournaments".

I know, I know. The next phase is: ďHi, my name is Mark, and Iím a golf-geek.Ē

"Hi, my name is Frans and I'm a golf-geek"...
Mmm do you really think it is a mid-life crisis thing? If so I have mine real early (at 27)

I should download some Golf apps... I tried some before I started playing (just out of curiosity) but deleted them... I should give it a try again...

Moved the Golf topic to Off Topic.

BTW, ToolkiT. No I don't really believe it's a mid-life thing, but I'm old enough to use that excuse. So, I do. Don't tell my wife that it's not really a mid-life thing.

Your timing was perfect. Your connected and clear of all the issues that alot of members here have about the Minstrel.

I went with YadaYada on my Prism. Works great!

Did you ever find a good website that covers PQA's?

I would like to know what others find useful.
