Looks like a sliding keyboard though.. so that will save some space.. but still bigger than the treo's by the look of it..

Samsung products are always hit and miss. I had the I-300 and I-330 and they would hard reset with just a little wireless web usage. They had great features, too, but they just were not functional. Then you have I-500. One of the most stable phones I had ever used, until I got a Treo 600. The I-500 lacked some features of its predecessors, but the biggest problem was the old Palm OS on it when Palm OS 5 had been out for a long time before the phone was even released. I am sure that the I750 will have some nice features, but I think it will suffer the same fate as the VX6600, a retractable keyboard that wil be will break easily. I don't think I need to tell you guys when it is not a software or some kind of internal issue, and they think your use fo the phone broke it, you will have to go through your phone replacement insurance and Lock Line will drop you after two broken phones within a year.

Does it come with a third hand so you can use such a large device without getting aches in your arms? Or maybe it doubles as an emergency aircraft carrier landing strip?

If that keyboard is slide-out -- I suspect it is -- then Siemens already has a smart phone similar to it: SX66 ( http://communications.siemens.com/cd...rNrNrN,00.html )

My PPC 6600 (CDMA version of SX-66) has these dimensions: 4.9 x 2.75 x .74 in. Weight: 7.35 ounces.. slightly thicker and very slightly heavier, but shorter and narrower than the Samsung i750. Somehow HTC found room for 128M of RAM in the 6600. Why does Samsung have to scrimp with 64M? Taking a lesson from Palm maybe???

It confuses me also, because it lists Cobalt in the OS, and Samsung I don't think does Quad band...yet...nor have they released they plan on doing so

You know, I love my treo but really hate the level of support that Palm gives for their products...The real issue is that they have really no competition...but maybe this will make things change...

    Already been discussed HERE

And no, I don't think this will kill the Treo, since it uses PPC and not PALM OS.
Just wait until Evil Ghost see this post, you'll be in for a doozie ! LOL

I don't think I have ever posted a negative post, BUT, I am getting a little sick and tired of people posting "treo killer" threads, and then finding out they are talking about PPC...
Its just plain DUMB, I actually think that the TREO is a PPC killer, if something.

I think its just difficult for treo/palm os lovers to see that there might be something else out there (btw Im a treo lover)

Well, I'm a former Windows CE user. I began scratching my head when the PocketPC devices first dropped the keyboards and decided that calling CE something different was going to remake the market for them. Maybe true, but I'm still scratching my head why I'd use a device without a keyboard. It's a personal preference, naturally, but I'm not one who enjoys running off to his PC when he wants to get real work done.

I agree in a way...I remember how long I used my palm m505 (school and business)...I got really good writing with grafitti

I think the keyboard thing can be overcome for some people (i.e. ppc with voice command and some tweaking) but I just think most Palm people (IMO) would not want to relearn another OS (plus most are invested wth palm apps).

I guess maybe at some point we might see a treo PPC, I am not closed to the idea.

The only thing that is "dumb" (as in stupid..nobody on this board impresses me as mute) is to try to convince Palm/Treo affecionados on a Palm/Treo board that there is some other viable alternative.

I guess if this were an Infiniti board, and I called a Lexus an "Infiniti killer", we would have dozens of "I'm sick and tired of Infiniti killer threads! That's just plain DUMB". And if this were a Lexus board, and I called an Infiniti a "Lexus killer".... Well, you get the idea.

Let bygones be bygones, guys. Glad you Treo fans finally have the machine you were promised out of the box 8 months ago when the thing was delivered prematurely. I hope you will be equally happy for me that I am satisfied with my PPC-6600. Different strokes for different folks, man.

For me, the only Treo killer is Palm itself that took all this time to make the 650 work as it should have from day one, and did not keep any of us in the loop as to what they were doing. The 128M SD card was a nice gesture, but c'mon. If your satisfied, then I'm satisfied, and that's the end of that. Just show tolerance to those of us misguided people that might actually prefer something else, even if it's (gasp) a PPC.... This one-handed stuff is totally overblown. I do have to tap the screen occasionally, but so do the Palm users. Maybe they should take away the touchscreen since everyone thinks it's so uncool to use it. The only two places that seem to require the one-handed approach are the driver's seat of the car (dangerous) and the toilet (messy). I can defer my gratification until I'm off the throne, thanks anyway.
