Just saw it listed on Amazon. I wouldn't even concider buying this unless they had put a full VGA resolution on it. Boo!

I like to drool over new tech just like anybody else (well, ok, more than most people) but this just doesn't do it for me.

wow i was reading some of the reviews/recommendations... i thought it was funny that someone recommended a treo 650 instead of the lifedrive.
i also noticed something else... someone said that because of the BT and wifi, you could stream music etc... maybe even use it to "hook up to your bluetooth bmw" (might not be an exact quote) that realy ticked me off... you can't stream music without BT1.2!!! it seems palm is very conservative lately with all their progress... this is not a revolutionary product. it is the first pda with a hard drive built in available mainstream in the US- ooo aaaa. that's the only thing that's a step forward... it makes a few steps back with the fact that it is still running POS 5.x (pun intended), it does not have a removable battery, and it does not offer BT1.2

I didn't realize it doesn't even have a removable battery! That's embarassing. So sad.

The fact that there is no Bluetooth 1.2 is an issue for PalmSource... OS 6.1 has 1.2 support but 5.4 does not. But that is def an issue, for this and the Treo 650. As for the removable battery, if they were to add this it would increase the amount of girth to the device, and it has plenty already! hehe

Yeah this device does nothing for me. It's not even a IPAQ 4155 killer(which is much cheaper). What are you supposed to do when that hard drive starts clicking...? Pay 30 bucks to have a new one shipped and wait 2 weeks... SHEESH. Stick with FLASH MEMORY PEOPLE. It's so Palm to go STONE AGE on technology. I mean 2 gig flash cards are cheap. They should have just stuck one of those in there. Or 2 for that matter.

This is false. My PDA2k has BT1.1 and it can stream music. Checkout the HP BT headphones.
