OK, I am about to take the plunge into the PPC world. Having searched for hours and hours on the topic, I am still more than a little confused. In particular:

Does the Sprint PPC6600/1 have EV-DO capability like its Verizon cousin?

Do any of the GSM IMates (including JAM) have EDGE?

Does the Verizon 6601 have a camera?

Where does the BenQ P50 fit into all this?

All things being equal (like cost), which would you prefer?

    Many thanks!

    >>Allegedly yes, and SPCS is reported to be testing in certain markets.

    >>No INfo on these devices.

Don't know this either. Assume that VZN will eventually get around to releasing a version with a camera, but who knows?

Well SPCS gives you inexpensive service plans for data for NOW. Who knows what will happen once EV-DO goes live on SPCS. VZN gives you expensive data plans (though voice is pretty comparable to SPCS) and access (limited) to EV-DO now with more in the immediate future. I have no idea if EDGE will see the light of day.

    Many thanks!
    Good Luck,
