Eh the Z10 I have is almost 2 years old. It's battery needs replaced but from what I've read about new batteries it's pretty good. Blackberry is known for good battery life though.

That is a very nice video comparison! Thank you!

Can you do a comparison video between webOS and iOS too?

After watching your video, it reminds me that a company as rich, powerful, and popular as Apple still cannot create an iOS and iPhone with all of the great features that webOS and the Pre3 / Veer have, like:
    - One finger swipe multitasking with arranging and stacking of open apps
    - Notification LED (*)
    - Wireless charging (*)
    - Slide-out keyboard that one can use without looking at the keys and does not take up any valuable screen space
    - Hardware speed-dial keyboard shortcuts
    - Hardware media control keys for Play, Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind
    - Super fast and convenient Cut, Copy, Paste, Select All, etc. keyboard shortcuts
    - One character text replacement shortcuts (iOS requires at least 2 characters)
    - Consistent application menu in upper left corner
    - Consistent system menu in upper right corner (iOS finally has Control Center)
    - Small compact curved non-slip pebble-shaped design
    - USB disk mode
    - Great close-knit and helpful community
    - Awesome Homebrew apps & patches
    - User-replaceable battery
    -

(*) = Some Android phones have this feature

What else am I missing here?

The Pre3 and iPhone are still missing the following:
    - Waterproof and rugged (*)
    - Long battery life (week to month long)
    - Dual front-facing stereo speakers (*)
    - IR port to control TVs (*) and Beam like Palm OS based devices used to have
    - microSD Card Slot (*) (Palm OS based devices had an SD Card slot)
    - FM (*) HD Radio Tuner with RDS
    - AM HD Radio Tuner
    - ATSC TV Tuner
    - USB 3 or faster data transfer port (*)
    - Air temperature and humidity sensors
    - Adjustable font-size in ALL apps, especially the App Store
    -

(*) = Some Android phones have this feature

What do you see is still missing in your ideal phone?

Of course, the iPhone with iOS has many features that are missing in the Pre3 and webOS, like:
    - OS Updates
    - New hardware each year
    - Over a million 3rd party apps!!
    - 128GB storage option
    - 1GB RAM
    - Faster CPU with Co-Processor
    - Faster GPU
    - Zoom Screen option to magnify it
    - Better web browser (but not as good as Samsung's Android web browser when it comes to increasing the font size and dark mode)
    - Siri and Hey Siri
    - Speech-to-Text dictation
    - Text-to-Speech
    - Easy one-handed cursor placement
    - Cellular LTE
    - Wi-Fi with latest 802.11ac
    - Bluetooth LE
    - Touch ID
    - Find My iPhone, Lost Mode
    - AirPlay and AirPlay mirroring
    - AirDrop
    - CarPlay
    - Apple Pay
    - Continuity and Handoff
    - Built-in system-wide dictionary
    - Built-in system-wide Undo / Redo (not even Android has this)
    - Invert Screen Colors
    - Do Not Disturb mode
    - Direct (non-internet based) sync via iTunes app option
    - Apple Watch support
    - Support for 3rd party hardware, like Roku, GoPro, Chromecast, Pebble Watch, Fitness Bands, etc.
    - Huge number of 3rd party accessories
    - Can be fixed at an Apple Store, Radio Shack, etc.

What other iPhone advantages am I missing?

Sure, I can understand that, but there are so many of them around, maybe you can borrow one?

Probably but I had a terrible time tracking one down to use as a trade for the Passport. I'm not sure who else to ask.

A little out of topic, here...

I would like to see a Web Browser comparison ( between BB10 and WebOS) which its a bit cruel because of WebOS older web-kit engine... But I wanted to see how good is the flash player compared to WebOS old v10.3 flash version and BB10 v11.2 when it comes to playing videos in the browser.

Oh yikes. That'd be a slaughter. For one, BB stopped including flash support as of 10.3. Only 10.2 has it. BlackBerry Knowledge Base explains the removal of Adobe Flash from OS 10.3.1 | CrackBerry.com So good news. webOS vs BB10.3 = total flash player domination!!!!

I didn't know that, so sad to see that they have removed "flash player" because it was and still is for me one of the best of the best(creme de la creme) to watching videos online in the web. No matter what people may say of "flash", its good to know that you can watch flash content on the web on your phone.

I owned every webOS device, my favorites were probably the Veer and the Pre Plus.

I wanted to like the Pre 3, but I had trouble because so many applications did not take advantage of the screen size. The Pre 2 was the "last and best" in this regard, though I like the smoother feel of the Pre/Pre Plus over the more rigid Pre 2.

The Veer was a lot of fun, though I did start to develop eye strain working with the small screen. I like the TouchPad, but it does get heavy. I also had a TouchPad Go, but this was also a problem with not really having software support (since it was never released).

There's a few things I miss, but I feel that BlackBerry is closest thing to the productivity I felt with webOS. There are some design choices that I preferred with webOS (especially the fun feel of the cards, or I loved the card catapult on the TouchPad when you turned it upside-down) but it's newer, and includes a number of features I wouldn't be able to go without.

I'm reluctantly using another device, I only get cell coverage outside of my home, T-Mobile does not support new BlackBerry devices on WiFi calling. Both the Passport and the Classic look nice.

Why can't the good platforms succeed?

That's good to know. Thank you! I guess there must be something wrong with my Veer since it will stick to the TouchStone, but not charge.

I updated my previous post to remove Veer comment.

There is a simple hack for this - you change a value in a line in one of the app files to "viewport" I think. Can't remember exactly, but the method is here on these forums (I've done it). I think it applies to all apps. It's simply a matter of developers not making the update due to the limitied release of the phone and HP cancellation, but you can do it yourself.

Someone chime in with instructions or a link!

Stuff like this is why I really wish we could make a batch of new homebrew Doctors. This kind of fix should be in a 2.30 update.
Sporting my 13th Pre device, a NOS unlocked ROW Pre3!
