Just saw this over at androidcentral.

It's RIM style, not a slider. But it is an option for anyone wanting a new portrait keyboard phone.

Looks like this will be spearheading Sprint's efforts to replace their old Nextel iDen network with CDMA-based PTT.

Well, I say spearheading, but I should say resurrecting. They've had PTT on their CDMA network before. Twice. Remember Ready Link? And then QChat?

However it looks like they are serious about it this time. This Admiral looks like a phone Motorola would have designed for the iDen network. All business, and ruggedized. I think that's the missing ingredient that prevented Ready Link and Qchat from replacing iDen. Nextel customers don't just want PTT, they want no-nonsense, rugged devices.
    Touchscreens are a fad.

From a form factor, that thing looks ugly. Maybe trying to lure BBerry users?

    Nope, Nextel. They're ugly too.
