Kobo and WSJ pulled direct sales options from their apps and Google books was completely pull, or rejected, from the store. Wonder how long Apple is going to let Kindle and Nook slip by their new app store laws?

This is a good incentive for companies that sell content directly to customers through apps to develop non-device driven Web-based apps that purchasers can access through any mobile browser. That way they don’t need to meet the demands of the device manufactures.
