i think trying to show how ios has come out with updates very often and giving new features as often as possible while fixing the few bugs that may appear now and then. an impressive read imo.

So iPhone has added something close to 1,000 features in 4 years with iOS 5 alone adding 150? There are no new features noted for any of the webOS releases but we know that there were several. The Android Version History shows just the 100 or so biggest feature upgrades.

Those version numbers and where they fall on the timeline mean nothing, for either platform.

Take for example, it took both webOS and iOS over a year to go from 1.0 to 2.0 with no major significant differences or additions between 1.0 and 2.0 on webOS, yet the difference between 1.0 and 2.0 on iOS is astonishing.

Version numbers and their frequency really mean nothing without knowing what each brings.

yes it shows palm did a few releases and no doubt they probably added a feature or two at times and fixed a few bugs... trying to remember but cant. mic api? fixed tmc error?

you dont have to look at the 4 years... since webos only showed two years, to be fair i just looked at the first two years of iphone and all the features they added and the frequency of updates when needed to take care of bugs that were found. imo its pretty impressive.
