how exactly i can install apps? got the facebook.apk but now? and in /mnt i only got the folder /card not sdcard
  2. #422
Thanks k3dar! It shows up in the manage apps SD card section.

The OS still doesn't think there's an SD card though... for some reason. I went online to amazon and tried to download an app directly from there, and it says it requires an SD card to download apps...

    *SIGH*. oh well.

If you get the .apk into /data/app it should be installed.

Or, look into the new AoP.sh posted a few back looks to have a method to install apps built in, I am not home so haven't been able to test. (holiday!)

Do you have a strong signal? I have a little blue airplane over my cell bars on the adroid app but airplane mode is not on.

    No... put facebook.apk into /media/internal/android/install

    and run "sh AoP.sh apk"

I put all the apk's in the install folder and just reran his script. I couldn't get the apk command to work for me or I just didn't know how. His script installed them though and it took about two minutes to rerun the script.

CaliMark: yes, Music show files, but Gallery show NoSD
In terminal is access via /sdcard or /mnt/sdcard.
I do see my music in the music app. I use ASTRO filemanager and I am able to use the internal photo viewer to look at pictures, I also was able to select gallery and it loaded gallery but it crashed before it showed the image in there.

    Thanks, for todays update!

I just use a android file manager and select the .apk and then it will install from within Android....

seems you not update AoP.sh on your Pre
or maybe you don't rename it, and now you run previous ver

on mac.. you have already worked novacom ? or you install using SDLTerminal ?

You have to install it i believe, just find a file manager for Android place the .apk file in /media/internal/android/install

Make sure you have the updated AoP text file in /media/internal/android

Then novaterm back in and run all the same lines as before except you would type sh AoP.sh apk

    i believe that is correct.

or just run sh AoP.sh all again and it will install any apps in the /media/internal/android/install folder anyways

By the way, I have successfully installed Android: Pre - with 1.4.5 uberkernel 500/1000

Every app I installed force closed on me, but it might just be the .apk's themselves

i have to rename the AoP.sh.txt to AoP.sh??
    jeah, i use SDLTerminal.

    edit: ok, it works:

    cd /media/internal/android
    mv AoP.sh.txt AoP.sh
    sh AoP.sh apk

    just installed AmazonAppstore and AstroFileManager!
