    Awesome...good work by him.

One day, maybe we'll treat phones like PCs and load any OS we choose to.

    Maybe...

Wow! I definitely would like to see that in action.

Pretty cool. It's a shame there's no gesture area on the Hero. Cool though.

I love the first line in the announcement:

"I've done it and will post instructions after school..." LOL

Ahh...times have changed! Very cool though

    Isn't that a downgrade from the Hero's 528Mhz to the Pre's 600Mhz CPU?

Epic or EVO would have been interesting.

hmmm I didn't think he would make it!

    Next step: webOS on Evo?

    That would be amazing!

There's no video of it yet anywhere. I'm skeptical still.

Actually the Hero uses the Pixi's CPU... if you're referring to the Pixi Uber though.

If instructions are posted I sense a cease and desist...
Palm IIIc -> Sony CLIÉ T650C -> Sony TJ-37 -> Palm TX -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre Bell -> Palm Pre Plus Bell/Verizon Hybrid -> HP Veer -> HP Pre 3 NA -> BlackBerry Classic -> BlackBerry Priv

It's a Late Goodbye, such a Late Goodbye.

The instructions have been posted, but there's no vid, no pics, and it doesn't look like anyone has been able to duplicate it yet.
I don't understand the purpose of the line, “I don't need to drink to have fun.” Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

Let's all give thanks to the app that started it all.

The guy just says, "I've done it!" Very sparse as far as details. He also said it didn't work the second time he went to boot. So who knows? Nothing about what works, what doesn't, what he did regarding the palm profile, etc. That's the post that was linked in the OP here, and onward as of this post.

Lol gl with that, no new webOs phone will be the same as the evo so you'll have to modify getting you sued that's why we stopped the development at the hero so most Likly hero only unfortantlly sandix himself said so while we gave the idea when making it

The Hero's processor is actually slower than the Pixi's. Its 3d performance is far worse as well.
