If you Sprint Premier - Get the Evo and you can change next year when WebOS has another device (hopefully)

I played with the EVO tonight. I have a family member that works for sprint and they had it tonight. Let me say it is BIG. It runs ok I still love the WEBos way better. I did take a video. Ill upload it later tonight or tomorrow when i get home. I took it with my pre kinda hard to take video and play with the phone.

Pre size is way better. I would not even feel comfortable putting the evo in my pocket. It is bigger then the Iphone.

The fact is that there will be other phones with similar / better specs coming soon enough. I would bet that Palm comes with a webOS one reasonably soon. But, even if there never was another Palm phone, I'll still wait for one that is smaller than that behemoth.

Cool specs, but I don't need a phone in my 42" HDTV. I need a phone that has good performance.

lets face it everyone feels the same or just hasn't ralized it...webos is superior and the sprint pres are junk. i'm getting the evo for a year and will re-think webos when there is new hardware available. even though android is a step down i'd rather have a phone that works. i get aggravated every time i have to use the stupid phone app on the pre. cmon its a phone isn't it?

Sorry but I much prefer the bigger size. The Pre is just too tiny for me. To each his own I suppose.

If it had a physical keyboard it might be smaller. I think the size is great if you like the virtual keyboard.

I thought the compass was a gimmick until I tried Google Sky. That is actually pretty cool.

I also prefer smaller. Pre form factor is just right for me. Also prefer physical kb. But I know others would prefer a larger slab-style. I can only hope that Palm will be able to support multiple form factors so everyone can be happy.

There is a lot of truth to that, though if 4g can replace my home internet, 30 bucks isn't too bad. Plus I get 20 percent off through my office. 4G is not priced out of the realm of ability to pay. I imagine the next Palm device will have the same 4G cost to it until Verizon comes out with their LTE network. Then the fee will be history.

If I had to choose between a compass or a touchstone back cover, it's a no brainer, I'll choose the touchstone every time. The only time I ever use the cable thingy is when I use webOSQI.

Isn't there a 5GB limit on the mobile hotspot, or is that just with Verizon?

Just Verizon. On Sprint 4g, there is no cap on 3g or 4g. That'll be really nice on the next Palm device.

There is not enough information on the next phone Palm will debut to make this decision. Since that information will be forthcoming soon (prob July or Aug if not by late June), can you wait a few months before making a decision that will lock you into another year or two?

Wrong. You might want to recheck your source(s).

Wrong. There is a 5GB cap on 3G, no cap on 4G.
