So I just ran across this article -

iTunes 9 Crashing, Failing to Sync with iPod classic

You think they're being a little too pro-active fighting the Pre, and not enough on keeping compatibility for their own products?

And then, Sprint is blocking phone as modem on the Pre. Ironic.

I think the difference is, that by blocking it on the Pre, they're not rendering their other tethering-capable phones useless.

I'm of a mixed opinion on this, would you rather pay for the PAM plan and go the official route? Or just use MyTether and be "unofficial"?

Looks like I need to charge up the old iPod and see if I can get it to sync. If it won't,raise holy hell with Apple.

I was kind of hoping Apple would go too far with it, and so was Palm.
Your Pre wants Word Whirl from the App Catalog.

    It told me.

I wouldn't mind the pam plan, I've had it for nearly 2 years. In spite of the fact that the Sprint program didn't work and I used the PDA.net program.
