    T-Mobile will be the first carrier to offer a mobile phone powered by Google's Android software, according to people briefed on the company's plans. The phone will be made by HTC, one of the largest makers of mobile phones in the world, and is expected to go on sale in the United States before Christmas, perhaps as early as October.

    ^I read that today as well... Too bad I left T-Mobile . Sprint (also a member of the Open Handheld Alliance) has also said that they will be making a "Android-powered" device, but I haven't heard specifics on when .

    For those that do not feel like hunting around YouTube for the video that is referenced in the above article... I believe is the video they are talking about.
