    from PalmInfoCenter:
Additionally, the company [Panasonic] is targeting a 1GB card by the end of 2002, a 2GB card in 2003, and a 4GB card in 2004, which can hold an entire DVD-quality movie.
4 GB?! The hell you say! Looks like it'll soon be time to switch some something hi-res & color (& to buy lots of battery packs!)

It looks like Panasonics law says that memory space will double in SD cards every year - HA!

SD like what only has 128 at a max? And how much would a 4 gig card cost . 4000??!?!?! seriously.. that's ridiculous. At that size you really need to go optical or magnetic

-thanx dad! - (spell check this one's free!)

I truly can see High storage memory cards being cheap. I could see Sony selling MemorySticks with movies on them. Think about it. Insead of DVDs you'd have MS (or MMC/SD or Compact flash) Video player with a caddy that holds 4 or 500 of them, and only be as large as a standard VCR/DVD player of today.

Don't be surprised if this comes to pass within 3 to 5 years.

At that size, however, you could get an automatic spell checker! (sorry, had to)
