Now I'll be honest. It can do things my Visor/IIIxe cannot do. But lets be honest. Playing Mp3's sounds cool, but on a PocketPC, you can only store about 5 Mp3's, with hardly acceptable sound quality. You're better off with a Prism and a SoundsGood.
From this quote, you may not know that most PPC users that utilize the Media Player on their device use memory cards (Compact Flash, SD/MMC, or Microdrives/Datapaks) to store MP3 or WMA files on. No one expects to get MP3's onto the main memory with apps installed, as well. I'm getting a bit tired of this argument.

If I want to play MP3's on my Prism, I have to spend $200+ for a module...what's the difference if a PPC user wants to utilize the MP3 capabilities of the device, and spend $100 on a large storage card? Newegg.com has a 128 mb compact flash card for sell for $90, and it works great with all Pocket PC's.

While they do have some nice features, they're offset by bugs in the OS and short battery life that make the device crap.
I get more Fatal Exception soft reset messages on my Prism than on my iPAQ...this notion the OS is buggy is funny. The Prism gets 5-6 hours of battery life...the iPAQ gets 6-8 hours of battery life with a mixture of sidelight on and off. Plus, I can see the screen in all conditions. You tell us which gets the best use and battery life.

Look, I like the Palm OS and my Prism quite a bit...please don't start flaming. All I'm asking is that you back up your claims before you start trashing something you don't know about.

    ATTENTION ALL EARTH CITIZENS:

    I LOVE POCKET PC'S!
I LOVE HOW THEIR OS IS COMPATIBLE WITH EVERYTHING ELSE!
    I LOVE HOW I CAN PLAY MP3'S!
I WAS VERY WRONG TO COMPARE TWO DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEMS!
    MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK
I LOVE HOW BRIGHT THE COLOR SCREEN IS
I LOVE HOW MUCH NICER GAMES YOU CAN PLAY

ALL IS TAKEN BACK ON MY OWN WILL. I AM DOING THIS VOLUNTARILY. MICROSOFT IS NOT MAKING ME DO THIS IN ANY WAY, I REPEAT, MICROSOFT IS NOT MAKING ME DO THIS IN ANY WAY. MY LIFE IS NOT IN DANGER IN ANY WAY AS A RESULT OF WHAT I POST HERE.

These sort of posts amuze me. Usually the people flaming the "other OS" is because they are feeling threatened. Really, there is probably no real reason to ever start a thread that flames one OS or another. I am lost as to the point of this thread, another PPC vs Palm flame war is boring, and un-needed. If you are really bored, then read the thousands of posts that have come before which compare OS's, or machines, or whatever.

Frankly, I don't care which is better for you, I am only interested in which is better for me. As I see it, both are better for me... consumers usually win when there is competition. I use a Palm right now, because it was the best for the money I had at the time. If you want to support one or the other, then buy it.

Very Well said Russ, PPc and PalmOS are completely different, you cannot say which one is best in general, just wich one fits your needs better...

I'm not sure how much Bblue is saying is true... but if you check out his profile, his occupation could explain it....

Perhaps I did take the blue pill. I'm sorry, some scary looking people came over to my house and forced me to.....EVERY SENTENCE I HAVE TYPED HAS BEEN ON MY OWN WILL. NOW LETS LEAVE THIS BE AND WE WILL ALL BE HAPPY AS NORMAL AS WE ALL ARE. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. ONCE AGAIN MIND YOU I AM TYPING THIS ON MY OWN WILL, I AM IN FULL CONTROL AND HAVE A NEW FOUND APPRECIATION FOR MICROSOFT'S FINE QUALITY PRODUCTS, AND WOULD NEVER CRITICIZE THE FINE ENGINEERING THAT WENT INTO THEIR PRODUCTS.

LOL, you expect him to repeat it? Part of it is included in the first reply in the thread though.

Ha, like MS saw anything in bblue's posting that was bad.

bblue, watch the caps-lock. If it's stuck, don't post.
