Wow...looks pretty cool with jog dial, increased resolution and soft graffiti area. Plus both SD & CF...not bad!

What you mean to say is that:

"The NEW Sony Clie will replace the iPaq I mistakenly bought, and I will never leave the Palm OS again, because there are SOOO many applications available. Far more then there will ever be for the Pocket PC, because Palms start out cheaper, and will just continue to sell more."

I looked into PPC too....too much $$$ and not enough bang for the buck. Besides the Sony Clie is nicer, and smaller.

I ment to say what I said or I wouldn't have said it. Thank you very much...

FYI I have never bought an Clie nor will i ever, and I bought the Ipaq and I've never looked back. Its great, and this handera device isn't going to replace my iPAQ, but I will get it...

You know nothing about pocket PC and from you email I doubt that you have ever used one, or done any research about them other than what you hear from these bords, thank you.

OK samo: (You don't mind of I call you samo do you?)

You know nothing about pocket PC and from you email I doubt that you have ever used one, or done any research about them other than what you hear from these bords, thank you.
I don't want to start a flamewar but I will go to all means if neccesary.

I DID do some research so don't be telling me what I did or haven't done. Sound familiar?

I searched the web but could not come across ONE freeware site like the one for Palm I mnetioned...

For all their NONfreeware they are charging $30+ thats nuts!!! I could buy a PC games for that...Pocket PC should mean Pocket Prices.

    Anyways samo:
Look at what the Pocket PC start out at....$380...for a 106mhz processor, 256 color screen and 16mb ram and with a processor that is being discontinued ala HP 525.

What is the Lifespan of a Pocket PC??? Not very long...look what happened to all those people who spend $999.99 on those HPs and Casio's with CE 2.0 a couple years ago...LEFT OUT IN THE COLD.....what happened to those people who bought Palm Pilot Professionals??? THey CAN STILL USE THEM!!! Most new software can be used on them...but where is the NEW software for CE 2.0??? Looks like Microshaft shafted all those users who spent over a thousand dollars on a device!!!

    Let me add samo:
Not only that, but when you go to pick up some software you ahve to PICK THE RIGHT ONE THAT GOES ALONG WITH YOUR PROCESSOR!!! So some software is only made for an iPaqfudge....

Not that a Palm is better persay, but a PPC does have its place. It has it with those TOP CEOS and other execs who can spend $650 on a top of the line iPaq and carry a clunky mofo around...

Spendning $650 on a Pocket PC is insane? You know why? Becuase for a little more you can purchase A DESKTOP COMPUTER that will last you a LOT longer then an iPaq...for $650 an iPaq should be able to do the laundry and wash my car!!!

I'd rather carry a Palm around so when I pull it out in class I don't look like a spoiled little rich kid. The only person with a PPC is the spoiled little rich kid. All the more practical and intelligent people I know carry Visors or Palms around....

I'll be back later when I get some more time, but someone might wanna bring a fire extinguisher, because this might get out of hand...

Hmmm, it sure seams like you do; note I don't do the flame war thing, so you are going to have to find some other fourm and target for this....

Good thing samo, you had me worried, I hope you read how Microshaft left its customers out in the cold.

I like how you put things in Bold eventhough I didn't put them in Bold when you quote me.

    Interesting excerpt:
    --
To compensate for the Microdrive's power consumption, HandERA has outfitted the 330 with four AAA batteries. A lithium ion battery pack is available as an accessory and can be recharged through a power jack on the side of the unit. Amazingly, HandEra's engineers have managed to fit all of this into a case the same size as a Palm IIIxe.

Four AAAs! You can burn through batteries twice as fast!
