The device won't allow a hard reset?
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

Try exchanging it, is all I can think of if reset doesn't work.

But what about leaving the battery out for a couple of hours then popping it back in? Maybe the Palm will "forget" what happened and you can uninstall the conflicting software. Unless this is a Palm with an internal battery.

Did you throw out the box? It's on there.

Also, did you try the battery thing? Or maybe try plugging the charger in and see what happens.

Have you tried a "warm reset," whre you hold up while depressing the reset pin?
In Socialist Empire, tired joke laughs at YOU!

How could the s/n got smudged off if it's inside the battery compartment?

Unless you brought it used from some shady place.

Did you hard reset it? Hold down the power and poke the reset hole.

Your right it is on the box! But unfortanully they said the warrenty just expired. I thought it was brand new but i guess the person who got it for me got it off ebay or somthing. & yes i did try a warm, hard and all the other resets. I guess i'll just have to wait till the battery dies....By the way how long does that take?
