    It really depends on what you need. The 650 runs PalmOS while the G1000 runs Windows Mobile. I personally prefer PalmOS as its more functional for me. Some like the eyecandy of Windows and prefer it. You should also consider what kind of tweaking you want to do. The Treo has a huge following and you can gets lots of help and advice on it.

    See above for a review on this phone. Keep in mind the review is from 2003.
    Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 700wx -> Mogul -> Touch Pro
    You may like to flash, but your phone shouldn't. LED Killer

    No, that phone is almost 3 years old. It is VERY large and has a now outdated OS. I wouldn't buy it. Did I mention it doesn't even have bluetooth?

    I will give you the camera though...it rotates around and I thought I read somewhere that you could do video conferencing with it.

    But I have held this in my hand and I have seen this in a belt case on someones hip...its HUGE...Id rather carry a mini-laptop or something like a libretto

    There are certainly better PDA phones out there than the Treo 650, at least for some of us, but that sure as heck ain't one of'em! If you don't mind going a little bigger than the 650, I am using a Qtek 9000 right now that is just awesome. The keyboard seems to just be the perfect size for male fingers. The screen can be run in true VGA mode (640x480 I believe). Better yet, if you want to keep the size of the 650 but like the supposed "eye-candy" of Windows, or the fact that it really is good, the HTC Wizard variants and the 6700s are pretty impressive.

    Regardless, please avoid that monster thing!

    The HTC Universal works in the US? I thought US GSM primarily used 850 with sections of 1900... where's Surur, doesn't he have one?

    It works, but Cingular is primarily 850MHz, I can't speak for T-Mobile though.
