Trying to keep up with the latest WM5 devices led me to this picture of the new Samsung i320. Somehow, it just brought Munk and Dr. Doom to mind:

BTW - if there is ever going to be a Blackberry killer, this mighty mite looks like the real thing.

I really thought there was a CDMA version of this phone, or at least one coming out. Unless my notes are wrong (which I NEVER make any mistakes! ), that is the model that my Sprint inside guy told me to look out for.

Here are some additional references showing 120 mb of memory (a little more than 32 mb .... ....Palm are you listening....). The landscape QVGA screen can display all of 65K color display at a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. WM05 with microSD slot.

This could be a decent contender. Not sure if the keyboard is big enough for me, small is good, but if you have large hands easy to have lots of typos.

Somewhere in all the reviews & coverage it mentions that the keys have 2 letters each and it's a rocker design--i.e. "push left half for E and right half for R"... Haven't yet seen how viable that's been for anyone.

I sure would like to see sprint get this phone. I would just like some options. Several years ago I switched to sprint from verizon more or less just because Sprint always had the coolest phones. Now it seems like cingular seems to get all the newest phones first. I don't do a lot of texting I just want a good compact phone that can sync with contacts and take some good pictures.. I have the 650 now and other than the resetting once a day and a crappy bluetooth its been a pretty good phone. Any suggestions and phones coming to sprint to wait it out for. Thanks

If you dont need calender or web features (robust ones at least) than the a900 blade seems to be the best choice for sprint today.

I can't believe no one has bitten on WHY this reminds me of Munk and Doom.

I thought it was obvious why munk and doom come immediately to mind when one sees the two devices in that postion and then the utensil in front of them.

Drat. I thought I was less obvious than that.
