Here is a phone that would not be be of much interest to most here for the fact that it does not have a keyboard or strong OS, but just look at some of the specs that this phone brings to the market:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1388797.shtml

    • 8-gigabyte drive in the phone
    • 2-megapixel camera
    • The company also introduced a 10-megapixel camera phone. To put that into context, most consumer digital cameras record 3, 4 or 5 megapixels so the SCBH-600 has at twice the resolution of most stand-alone cameras.
    • USB port

    Hey Hobbes-long time no see...

    Side note...

Ever since I got my LifeDrive, I have become less of a fan of the microdrives that are available. Seek times are slow, boot up is slow, just an all around undesirable experience. The storage is great, but at what cost? With flash memory dropping in price, phone manufacturers can easily incorparate 2-4 gig in flash memory.

    Just my 2 cents.

Hi....I've been swamped with work. A lot of extra travel lately and a lot of special projects on my plate.

I agree about Microdrives and with rumors of up to 36 Gig SD cards coming out as soon as possibly the 4th Q this year or 1st Q next, Microdrives will have to have offer a lot of advancements in power consumption, ramping up times, and access speeds to make it long term.

LD did HDD wrong. The LD has no flash memory, while this has 128MB flash. It makes a big difference.

i'm sure it does. However, I still think that I prefer flash memory (no moving parts) And if Palm is going to be as lackluster with product releases as they have been, that scares me.
