[News Article]

AP: (2015-04) Seoul, South Korea - Automaker Hyundai Motor Company founded by Chung Ju-yung in 1947 (as a construction firm) has announced today that they have agreed to terms with LG Electronics to purchase the webOS software platform to incorporate into their 2016 auto group - eventually to be the mainstay of the new Hyundai Urban Scooter line being introduced in mid-2018.

Hyundai spokeperson, Luki Isa Fuldyuwitdis, made the announcement during the recent Mobile Nex-Dec conference in Seoul. Citing declining auto advancements and the placement of webOS as a more reactionary and pivotal key service over the Tizon branding, "We are very excited to introduce this new development and partnership to bring connectivity advancements to Hyundai", Luki stated during the interviews.

I sure hope that's not all they're going to do with it. Does that mean LG won't make anymore WebOS watches or TVs? Hyundai showed off some interesting concepts at CES. I hope they somehow get WebOS onto mobiles, that they are up the task of consumer electronics
.
