Broke my S4 screen on Saturday morning, and pulled the Pre3 out of the attic to try to use it as a backup.

Because my Veer's been up and running (it makes an excellent desk clock), the Pre3 immediately complained about having two accounts active at the same time-- my only option was to basically wipe the phone and start over.

So now I have no apps that weren't part of the initial package, and to add insult to injury, I couldn't get back into my Gmail account other than by setting up POP.

My only solace is that my ringtones are still on there

I've enjoyed my brief reunion with WebOS and the physical keyboard, but it's super-weird having a "smartphone" that is harder to extend than my old Treo

I would suggest downloading your apps on your computer (creatung a local backup of your apps is explained elsewhere on this forum. The instructions should be easy to find, but if your have trouble finding them, just ask), and then sideloading them through preware.

See my signature for the patch to fix your gmail account ( Google sync https fix ). If you sync calendar, you need to install a different package (C+DAV connector by Garfonso ).

And truly...a few minutes with the search function on the site would have unearthed mucho discussion on:
StopDeviceWipe - WebOS Internals

And then you would have had two devices running.

I'll be the first too say he might well have done a search. Vbulletin's search feature SUCKS! I find way more answers with a google site search, when I can remember how to do it.
