The mining activity is Motorola and Dave Hakkens. Phone Bloks is "A Phone Worth Keeping" and can be used with different platforms supposedly. Open webOS would be great for this, because the hardware can be interchanged easily. https://phonebloks.com/idea/

Yes, here's hoping for an unlocked boot-loader!

Hooray! Block building can start soon apparently. Someone make a gesture area block and a plain button block. And there better NOT be any AMOLED displays. Those can get burn in, and I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THAT CHANCE.

    Gesture area block...

Yes, this might be achievable in the way an entire phone might not...

Plain button? Plane button? Mute switch?

So is Gnex and Nexus 7... sort off. I think we should take what we can get and make it do what we want.

Well it would definitely be achievable if we develop the key components, and then use other official pieces, like cameras. We would have to do the unique features that webOS needs, like the gesture are. I hate the TP button. And also a landscape and portrait keyboard for those who want it

My only complaint with AMOLED is it isn't bright enough in direct sunlight. Can't say I've ever noticed a "burn-in" though. Nice title
Due to the cancellation of the penny, I no longer give 2 about anything. I may however, give a nickel
