Hi folks, here is a great news:

LG

"... LG continues development for future generation of webOS. The next version will be focused on simplicity, convenience, and specialty... LG webOS aims for an open and compatible platform."

I will be back shortly for more translation.

It's impossible that they were talking anything other than TV 'cause in other topics you were 200% sure they were only gonna use webOS for TVs.

(Sigh) same things said since webOS released, just different versions, of the same old things. Still, loyal and devoted to webOS though. More ups and downs than my ex marriage. damnit.

We actually have an LG HE washer (top in Consumer Reports) and it ain't your Grandmother's Kenmore. For a washer, it's pretty high tech, though I too would love to see the WebOS interface propagate to devices like this, and a new phone.

Did a double take on the word monogramed... could have sworn it was mammogramed.

We love ours too. Our front loader keeps the dog busy for hours.

Got the same one...and the corresponding dryer. I...would not want it to have a freakin' user interface. It's great as-is. Some things just don't need complication, especially when all I have to do with it already is turn a wheel and press a button.

This is great! I can't wait to use quick launch to quickly set my fridges icemaker to crush and to enable the nightlight.

Yes, LG's washing machines are quite advanced but what the heck would you do with a card based interface on a washing machine???
