Does anyone have any ideas what's been going on with it? I mean its been months since we heard anything on it.

The guys of Ports are working very hard on everything. There are about a dozen or more daily commits to their GitHub. I actually asked them the same thing last week and I believe they'll put up a new video soon

Kinda like waiting for the 1.0 version of Ubuntu phone... much waiting done, not much to play with yet...

That's actually one of my concerns: availability of the Galaxy Nexus is probably continuing to shrink, and we're already halfway through the probably-only-a-year life cycle of the Nexus 4.

Well... with the definitive promise of Ubuntu Touch coming to both Nexus phones and the WebOS Ports team efforts I hedged my bets and got both.

From what I see with open webos on the Gnex is that if we get owos running fine on the Gnex, then the other nexus ports should get way faster... actually I lost track a bit of the development of hardware acceleration and other hardware stuff, that is specific to the Gnex... but there is quite a bit of work to be done (and a lot of work that already is done) in the OS itself, like settings app, phone app, Preware (there is no mojo in owos, so basically everything that was mojo needs to be rewritten in enyo2)...
