A chance? Yes. A guarantee? No. Dkirker is working the backend and Vistaus is working the UI. Time will tell. Check page 2 of this thread for their specific answers which I simply paraphrased. They KNOW the community wants it but it takes time and effort. Patience...

I did my best but WebView on the Pre 3 is a no-go for me so I gave up porting it. Unless someone wants to help with fixing the WebView issue. The code is on my GitHub (see the OP).

Anyone else have issues installing 3.1.0 via webOSQI?

I keep getting and error: "Invalid or Corrupt package".

I tried to remove 2.5.0 and install again. Same error. I was, however, able to reinstall 2.5.0 with webOSQI. So i don't think that's the issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Grab the 3.1.0 ipk from the op and use Internalz Pro or Preware to install it directly on your Touchpad.

So it's not going to happen unless someone helps you... I hope somebody will.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have no idea what the problem is. I built the 3.1.0 IPK exactly the same way as the 2.5.0 IPK... Can you try using Preware --> Install package ?

I did try from Internalz Pro and Preware but no luck. It just sits there installing and doesn't finish. I'm sure it's probably my Touchpad. Do you know if this will be updated on Preware? Maybe that will work.

If they give out the launch parameter then I'll add it. I'll contact 'em.

I dunno when Preware will sync.

Try installing the SDK on your PC and palm-install the IPK from the command line.

I followed this on my Touchpad Just Type Opensearch for every Website and it works great! Google suggestions right in just type. I turned off the default Google search that is built into webOS. However, I found that Isis does not see the google search I added. It defaults to the next search engine. Is this a bug? Should I just add the old Google search back and deal with two Google's on just type? Imagine my surprise when searching in Isis yielded Wikipedia results until I figured out why.

I dunno if that's s bug. I only use Opensearch to make Just Type default to DuckDuckGo and that works great. I'll look into your issue later on.

I'm not able to get 3.1.0 to install either via internalz pro, preware, or WOSQI.

Great work vistaus, downloaded the latest version and very impressed with its performance along with a bit of speed improvements in loading pages without suffering from the annoying "error load page" from the stock OS browser in the touchpad.

Redundant question: is actually Isis faster than stock browser when it comes to load pages?

No - it is just a tweaked UI and uses the same rendering engine ( browserserver ). Any speed difference is happenstance.

I didn't get to try your last recommendation. Too busy. But 3.1.0 is now on Preware feeds for install and luckily that worked.

Very nice work. I'm enjoying it thus far. Thanks!
