Hi All,
Quick question. LunaCE has mini cards and (if my Twitter feed is correct) so will Open WebOS, the thing is that I don't see the point of mini cards staying in "card" view (horizontal scrolling of them). Would it be possible (especially on tablets) to have an expose' like view of Mini Cards? So, for example, when press on the screen to get Mini Cards, I get an expose' overview of all my open cards. Possible? |

A) I'm not sure what you mean by "Expose" view... maybe you could clarify that with a diagram or description
B) This request might be seen more quickly by someone who can answer if you put it in the LunaCE 4.x thread C) I believe LunaCE development is on hold ATM as most of the developers from that project are working on the ports effort with Galaxy Nexus...

Expose is an old Mac OS X feature that spreads out your windows over your screen. I think the OP wants something that puts cards in a grid arrangement instead of the row arrangement in mini cards.

I mean, doesn't it make more sense? If the point of Mini cards is to have an overview of your open cards, than putting them in a row kind of defeats the purpose IMO.
And yes, GMMan, that's what I meant (thanks for clarifying). I also put this here because ShiftyAxel (the GNex UI guy) tweeted a Mini Card screenshot, so I'm assuming it'll go into OpenWebOS |

Have the cards slightly spread out in a stack horizontally, and when tapped on expands to a new page of cards.

For those of you who don't know, this is Expose'
http://mac101.net/files/2009/06/2009...t_73451_pm.png As for stacks, you could expand the stack with a touch (Animation wise think like a Folder on iOS or Android). Touch the stack and you'll get an overview of what's in it. |

Funny you should ask, I reimplemented mini cards into Open webOS the other day:
https://twitter.com/shiftyaxel/statu...48756238639104 I've been thinking of an expose-style feature too, but we have to be careful with regards to patents. I think it would be more of an 'overview mode' or 'grid view' than expose, which is more focused toward overlapping windows in a desktop environment (as per patent 7,739,617).

hahahaha this is what actually prompted my idea :P
You're right about patents, however a pure grid mode would look really bad with an Odd Number of cards, though I'm sure there's a similar feature in Ubuntu Linux (I think it's in Compiz, but I might be wrong, haven't played with Ubuntu in years now) which is open source |
