these job postings have been up for a while I believe. They need some young talent, I just don't know if they can get any...

It's always the same: layoff the old experienced crew and hire young cheaper ones. Costs less money but (and that is the blind spot in that strategy) produces more crap.

Haha, a good sense of humor. That's needed when HP decides to make the next stupid move to kill themselves. But at least by that time Gram should be far removed from HP and has its own source of funding.

You could move to Shanghai heard they are hiring there too....
I love physical keyboards... but there is two devices that would make me consider a slab, one is something running a full version of Open webOS. The other is an iPhone!!!! HA HA just kidding (about the iPhone that is)...

HP is looking for 53 top-class webOS developers.

HP is looking for 53 top-class developers to work in both Shanghai, China and Sunnyvale, California. All of the positions appear to be high-paying jobs as well, so it seems that HP is putting a lot of time and resources into its webOS Open platform.

I would feel sorry for the poor guy, who will take a job at HP headquarters. Not a friendly place to work at the moment, and take an opportunity to notice all of the firing/lay-offs placed all over the media recently. If I was talented OS programmer definitely will be skipping my application at HP, no thank-you can't stand working for an incompetent stupid company of HP.

They will most likely be placed in the new "stealth" Gram office which is separated from HP's, so I would expect the environment to be quite OK

Hey - anyone who's got the skills and experience should consider it. The people, the culture, the country..... and Shanghai's a real nice city, it would be a great experience even if you just do it for a year or so.

Hiring webOS people to work only in China as a foreign country? This must have something to do with ZTE making webOS phones... We will see.

Wow this is the best news by far. Been waiting a long time to see some solid evidence that webOS will live on, not just surviving as a hardcore group that clings their beloved os but spreads to the masses. Go WebOS.
And thanks to the openWebOS they can add real creative and usefull ideas, without to much effort. A big rounds of applause to the internals group keep it up the Galaxy port in such short time, well done. I hope 2014 is the year we get 2 webOS phones, one slab and one with physical keyboard. And don't dare to forget a global appcatalouge.
