No butterfly tonight...it appears that the Gram website is gone. All I get is "Can't display this webpage."
![]() I wonder what this means...maybe it's super-duper-stealth-mode...? Maybe the butterfly's gone back into its chrysalis...? ![]() This is infuriating!

A whois check shows "pending registration". Maybe that means gram is finally a separate company and is taking over ownership of the domain.
Update: gram.com works. So they're probably updating the record to redirect to gram.com. (via Twitter)

There must be something wrong with me...
I go and look every day almost without fail. gr.am is still working and only shows the logo. gram.com is working and only shows the logo. The link at the top right of openwebosproject.org still leads to gr.am. Nothing new yet.

gr.am isn't working for me. You probably still have the page cached.

Seems you are correct.... Thought I'd cleaned out my browser since the switch to gram.com. Guess it was just before.

Nope, because then there must be something wrong with me too... I check gr.am, gram.com, precentral.net, theverge.com (they seem to get a lot of HP stuff) and the forums multiple times a day and have been doing that ever since HP trashed their webOS hardware plans ... that's a loooonnnng time to hold hope lol

What I feel about the existence of Gram and what it makes sense to me.
I believe that they will be responsible to develop and to seed cloud services to OpenWebOS, like Synergy services for instance. That will require some human resources to maintain the things up and running even when the providers change the service for some reason. If Gram means "Freedom of the Web" I believe that OpenWebOS could be like a portal to every single service on the Web. Just imaging if you want to buy a song you launch a music app where I can listen my music files in device, but i can also access my files on the cloud in several providers, and if I want to buy a new song, no problem, I can browse different sources like Amazon, eMusic and buy it. Maybe the pro version of OpenWebOS can also offer a cloud base file synergy to ensure you that the song that I brought on phone, I can also use it on my computer or on the TV.

Just chipping in with not a whole lot...
So there was a story about the 'Bender' device appearing in some carrier test log or something as an Android device. For non-cartoon fans, there is a show called Futurama. One of the characters is a robot called Bender - a humanoid robot. The name for a humanoid robot is Android. This seems to indicate that it wasn't new webOS hardware with a test OS. It seems that any future plans for HP mobile will be on the google platform. Noting the comment above about all those non-Samsung manufacturers, well I guess they do OK, but I wonder if becoming 'another android' is the best plan for HP. Even windows would be a differentiation - although I see others outside Nokia are giving it a try. It seems to me that the history of the smart phone from Palm & Blackberry is one of business devices migrating to the consumer space. Of course the iphone changed this, but it doesn't make the old model obsolete. Businesses will use the best platform, regardless of it's popularity with the public. Best will mean productivity & security. We can only hope that gram develop these features and make in roads to the business sector in the next couple of years and that webOS transitions back to the consumer world from there. Perhaps then HP will welcome back webOS... if someone else doesn't beat them to it. Thanks for the heads up on the fonts. Just geeked for a few minutes digging around for anything interesting. Didn't find too much. Did find that the IP address which gram and openwebosproject point to are hosted off the same server in Palo Alto (Locate IP Address Lookup Show on Map City of the IP 15.217.232.252). Guess that makes sense though...
I also did some nslookups of IP addresses in their range to see if there were any other references to webos in the A records. No luck . Fun to dig through stuff like this sometimes.Code:
