I whipped up a couple logos I thought fit open source webOS.

Updated March 9th:

The "O" in the 4th one is askew but I was too lazy to fix it :-)

Updated March 10th:

Hope you like!

Cool. You have some talent. I saw someone else tweeted another design to the webosdevs.

The last one is what i like. Maybe a litte lighter to increase the contrast from the dark background.

Yes, I agree... this last is very interesting, only dark too much...

Best Regards...

Really nicely done, ursula

I like the concept of the 2nd logo (with the plug), and agree with the others that the 4th is a great look - just needs more contrast to make it 'pop' out from the background. Great job!!

I thought that looked neat, but then i thought - what does USB have to do with the web? Nothing, especially with everything being done over the air wirelessly.

Nice stuff! Be sure to submit it to our Open webOS branding design competition. HP might want to talk to you!

Here's all of mine:

And this one with the space shuttle (it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but oh well):

Come it we're Open webOS.....nice

I'm no artist by any stretch, either with pen and paper or PC, but to expand on that idea, a neat boot logo would be something like this

Typical light up sequence...O...P...E...N....webOS (integrated with the O or E)

Feel free to make that one come alive

Awesome work! Do you have those in vector graphics? The Cards really represents webOS and its technology.

I wrote a storyboard on how I'd do the animation.

Oh man, that could be so good.... I don't know if I'll have time to finish it before the end of the contest, though. I still have a few more ideas I'm working on.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! I made a new one in a similar style; I think it's a big improvement:

mine is a little bit different compare to the others. I tried to keep the original logo intact, but add open to it.

look at the orange part upside down

If you're talking about the ones with the cards, they're from my post with all the links, just a few posts above the images.

This idea was inspired by the notification system:

The font is Yanone Kaffeesatz; I just love it. I also thought that you could use notification badges when announcing a new version of the OS. For Open webOS 1.0, it could look like this:
