Here are two I threw together using a modified HP logo as a theme. I have some others if anyone's interested.

Might have to play with the proportions on the second one. Maybe make the colors more WebOS-y

It dawned on me that the dot over the i needs to move over to the left...

Diy not Dyi...

Otherwise I am still digging it...

Yes, you are correct! Sometimes English feels like a second language to me. I mean, it's not, but...

ill remove this crap if you dont want it up, yours is still good as-is.

gatepeter: Sweet! I got the theme, can't wait to try it out! I put the black logo into Meta-Doctor as a bootlogo, but haven't actually put on my TP yet. I lke the way the ends of the d and y wrap around the edge of the boarder. This is a heck of a lot better than my mock ups! Drop shadow, highlighting...awsome! The only "complaint" (too minor, really): I prefer a circular dot on the i. But that's a preference, not a flaw.

i keep thinking its far too big, wonder if i should have made it tiny like the original.

might have another experiment later when my cold dies off, was wondering what it would look like having your circular logo inside the O on the webOS text.

Like this? Again, quick and dirty. I agree they are too big for a bootlogo. I need to use a better image editor to scale these things properly.

Looks like the Open webOS project decided not to use the webOS Nation contest winner's logo after all. Huh.

i tried making my version of your logo more like the size of the original (damned small), also changed it to run on phones and touchpad (portrait and landscape).

same deal as before, put zip files in downloads folder and add to theme manager.

EDIT: Nice, my new text editor broke the json files, fixed that issue, the new zip files "should" work, portrait zip for phones, landscape for touchpad, scream if they dont work.

Guys, I think you're getting way, WAY far away from the design language of webOS with these logos. I tried to channel a little bit of Matias Duarte when designing this logo. Tried to keep it minimal too Probably a bit pompous, but I wanted to explain my inspirations.

Info on colors, font, and also a higher res openCards logo to come momentarily.

EDIT: I purposely didn't use Prelude because I don't understand the license included in open webOS. Not sure if I would be permitted to post a version using that.

I had and idée dunno if it's Worth but here i go:

-A circle ;
- Inside the circle a lock (kinda like the opensource hardware logo);
- Then Inside that lock , a "card like" picture in shape of a W.

Hope it's Understandable ;sorry that i dont have graphic capability on my computer!!
