If the Commodore 64 and Dodge Dart can be resurrected, then surely "Palm" deserves to be reborn as well.
Palm!, Palm!, Palm!, Palm!, Palm!, Palm!,

The palm name needs to come back somehow. I like having a palm in the palm of my hands.

No, they should name it "LAMP" instead. This organization will then change the current webOS architecture to a similar, but different at the same time one, using a software stack consisting of:

- Linux for the kernel (as right now already in their plans for a more standard upstream-based kernel)
- Apache (maybe Tomcat) for the middleware / system glue
- MySQL instead of BerkelyDB / LevelDB for persistent storage backend
- PHP for the application framework / GUI widgets
...and Netscape 4 for the rendering of all their apps.

All of those provisions will then fulfill the wet, century old dream of providing a cool, webby, epic shiznit app development base for Junior Software scripters (Devs) that are bad at actual C++ coding.

Well, I do like to see it come back, but I'd rather name it HP Palm instead to show the colloboration under HP.
