Everytime I hotsync after Classic as been restarted, it doesn't recognize my user acct, and I have to select the user on my desktop. Then it restores all my hotsync info, which takes longer and makes some apps lose my preferences.

Why don't the Classic Hotsync remember which user is associated with my Palm OS in my Pre?

This can happen in case HotSync is not completed without errors, so the ID is not remembered. To resolve this, first you would need to check what is causing the HotSync not to complete. You can contact our support to help you out with this MotionApps Customer Support
