Special characters?

Some of the special characters don't work in Classic. Does anyone know how to type the following...
% (types "5" instead)
$ (types "4" instead)
! (types "1" instead)

Press Orange button and then hit the correct button for a character. Do not hold the Orange button while inserting the character, just press and release it and then insert the character.

Hope this resolves the issue!
