Classic Virtual Control Alternative?

I've made good use of Classic with my former Palm OS apps but I hope Motion Apps will give us an alternative to the real estate grabbing virtual control layout. How about a way to hide the virtual keyboard completely and repurpose the Pre's keyboard for all functions? Or...outfit Classic with a small one-row virtual control at the very bottom that wil funtion as the virtual control? What do you Classic users think?

Do you want more Classic screen real estate? Should there be a hide feature for the virtual control and option to use the Pre's keyboard. Your thoughts?
