Default PRE - palm employee called Howard Stern Wrapup show.

I was just heading out to lunch, and I heard a caller who stated that she worked for Palm. Howard is in the market for a new phone, and he is torn between the iphone and a blackberry... She told Bababooey to look at the pre before making a decision... She Didn't offer up any information that we didn't already know, but she did say it would be out before June. (I wonder if she actually meant to say before the end of June)

A LOT of people listen to Stern. I wonder how many people will look into the phone.

I would think the Pre would need a fart app before Stern would even consider it.

Pretty corny actually...

But there are millions of Stern listeners everyday... If he comes out for this phone, it will make a difference...

Hopefully since it seems like we are hearing more mainstream rustling about the pre it means that it will be out within a month or so.

My post was an allusion to Stern's Fartman character, and an expression of my general distaste for the guy.

It's one thing to let a third party developer create an iFart app, but quite another to personally suck up to Mr. Flatulence himself. If it was indeed a Palm employee who called the show, my thoughts of the Pre will be not so much of a polished river stone, but more like a warm, smooth turd.

This is not how Don Draper would handle it.

They have discussed the Pre a few times. Mostly around CES.

I just have to add that there are two types of people in the world. Those who think the Stern show is pure genious the majoirty of the time and those who assume to know what the show is all about but never really gave it a chance.

I wouldn't say his show is genius, but it is very funny. People think he's a crude racist who hates women. That couldn't be farther from the truth, especially recently. He was always faithful to his wife, and now he has a beautiful new bride. He is comfortable enough with people of different backgrounds to joke about it, but is never mean or hateful (can't say the same for some of the callers, wack-packers, or guests).

I always change the channel when he has a vapid stripper or **** star on the show. Hot chicks don't translate to radio; it's more of a visual thing.

The show on Sirius has very few commercials. There is such a great mix of people that I can't help but be entertained. You got the black female sidekick who is vegan and gets coffee enemas, the comic fighting heroin addiction, the openly gay announcer (George Takei), the ignorant and immature writers, the guy with the high voice who just came out of the closet, the Jewish newswoman who is trying to be more fun, the opinionated freeloading friend, and then Howard who has been trying all his life to overcome all his psychological problems. A lot of things come out on that show that many people wish would stay stuffed down inside.

Now, back on topic, they did mention the Pre a few times on the show. Howard has a Treo and some of the people have been trying to talk him into an iPhone. Right after CES, someone mentioned that he should give the Pre a try. Working for Sirius, they are kind of in the gadget business.

Any one who thinks Howard is bad needs to listen to Bubba the love sponge. He puts Howard to shame.

Actually, I have been thinking that there are four types of people in the world: the Howard Stern Superfans, people who listen to his show, people who don't listen to his show, and the people who give him the most attention by hating him.
