I did a quick search but could not find any threads about this upcoming portable Sirius receiver.

This looks like the coolest thing ever.

With this radio and Howard Stern, my life will be most enjoyable.

I have the Unit installed in my car , am very happy, Couple of "highlights", great reception (Better than my other sirius unit) Talks to you while changing channels (keeping you eyes on the road),if you loose reception , say going through the Lincoln Tunnel it asks you if you would like to go to your recorded playlists.Nice Colour screen

I have not had any issues but have read about some, , it actually reminds me of the early Treo 600/650's a few bugs but most where worked out firmware upgrades, same with s50 (theres already been 1 small upgrade)

Yes, fellow Cobber living with the Seppos

Howard's last terrestrial radio show was today. Time to get those Sirius radios cranked up and ready for January.

I'm an XM guy myself. I used to have Sirius, but the signal was no good where I live. That thing does look pretty sleek though!

I just got the S50 and it's my first satellite radio, so a few quick comments:
    - Maybe it's just my area, but reception is spotty at times.
    - I was not impressed with 'original' firmware, but the subsequent upgrades are good.
    - Can someone say 'E-Grips'? I must have dropped this sucker more times than I care to admit and just pick a nice scrap mark on it today I just sent them an e-mail requesting notification if/when they have one available.
    - I love the recording ability and I didnt' get the home unit, but use the Radio Shack adapter to plug the car unit into the home's AC outlets. I will probably just use the car unit at home, since my average commute is 30 minutes.
    - I have some problems recording shows or music, but I think it's 'user-error'

Draw back is it isn't trully portable, as it has to be in it's dock to get LIVE broadcast.
