This one is another highway rant, but I HATE HATE HATE it when people (usually women*, usually in SUV's or minivans) drive in the left lane of a highway and force people to pass them on the right.

I actually talked to an acquaintance of mine about this and SHE said that the left lane was the "fast lane" and that she always drove the speed limit which should be fast enough for that lane! I proceeded to explain to her that the left lane is actually a PASSING lane and that no matter your speed, if someone is approaching you from behind you should change lanes to allow them to pass. Simple highway etiquette goes a long way toward preventing road rage.

Cross your hands so the left hand is on the right side, then proceed

I've normally noticed that the drivers were elderly myself. Some areas actually have laws that you have to stay in the right lane except to pass, and you can't pass on the right.

My highway rant is those who feel they need to come to a stop on the highway to allow someone to merge from an entrance ramp. It's called merge for a reason yet they insist on slowing down to a crawl or even stopping so someone can merge.

I think the Super Market should have a check writing lane only. Meaning you cannot write a check for your groceries in any lane but that one...make all those women (cause I never see men write checks) wait behind each other and see how much they like it! Could you imagine being the fifth person in line and all the people in front of you are writing checks...ha ha ha! I bet check writing would go out fast...damn fast!!!
Agree 100%, bothers me to no end when someone's writing a check in my line.

food stamps are worse than checks -- they have to have the right food items -- and they'll try to sneak through unallowed stuff -- so then they'll do 2-3 different transactions -- while they have 5 unruly kids stepping all over you as you wait behind them... I'm such repugnican

Not if you keep the bathroom doors closed. We have two cats, and are over-the-toppies. And cats aren't allowed the bathrooms. (Though we keep the seats AND lids down just in case.)
