Are we looking at the results of global warming? I have lived in the Tampa for over 28 years and I can NOT remember an active season as this one or the prior one. Kinda makes you wonder.

Well if it's Florida, it must be the Bush brothers at it again!

Thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering why Claire would bring it up.

MoveOn.org points the finger at Bush, saying that he has "helped the oil companies drill more, and the big polluters pollute more, at every opportunity" while he "has done nothing to stop global warming pollution, which is making extreme weather stronger."

Which part of the quote doesn't apply, according to you?

What the Hell are you talking about? Claire says to blame it on the Bush's. NRG asked why Claire would mention W. in regards to the weather. I give NRG a link, saying it's not so far fetching a suggestion as he thought.

I will go through it once more:

Now I'm sure Claire was just having a little fun, however I pointed out to NRG that it has been stated before. Which part of my post doesn't make sense to you? Where did I say anything about it applying to anything other than it having been mentioned before?

Quit looking for confrontations. What's up your *** all the time? I could sit here and tell you the Earth is not flat, and you'd find some way to challenge it, just for the sake of confrontation.

Huh, what's wrong with you, why so defensive? Where did I say a part of your post does not make sense?

I asked whether you think the things MoveOn wrote about Bush are correct or not:

.... Can't stay out of off topic, must look away......
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." -- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC

Yes, can't we stay on topic in the Off Topic forum? Is that really so hard?

(thinking for a while....is it possible to be on topic in off topic? I'm not sure...)

Anyway, I JUST finished building my son one of those wooden swingset/fort type things (6-12 hours build time my ***), and I don't need a hurricane coming and shredding it.

Is it too much to ask to get one of those "normal" hurricane seasons we had like 5 years ago?
    I'm back!
