    OTR is correct...almost. It's for blind people. But it's not the F key, rather the 5 key. Most modern phones have this, either on the 5 button, or surrounding it.

    Wholy cr@p hes right I just peeked at my modern Mitsubishi Mobile Access 2000 (the first cell phone I ever owned) and sure nuff the 5 key has a nipple Man I loved that phone, 1 line display, 20 numbers in speed dial, thats it, thats all it did,,,,,,but it never, never, never, reset





    Did anyone click the word modern cause it was underlined?

    and BTW, on my Microsoft keyboard, it's a raised line at the bottom of the F and J keys instead of a nipple...

    Correct. That would be for keyboards. It's only coincidence for the Treo keypad that the 5 (or F) is raised.

    Speaking of Microsoft Keyboards. I have always found it odd that a software company makes hardware. I know they have been doing it for awhile, but it's just weird.
